IWSEC 2014 will take place at Hakkoda Hall, Hirosaki University (Hirosaki City, Japan )

From Hirosaki train station (JR) to the University campus, it takes 25 minutes on foot, 15 minutes by bus ( 270 Yen) and 10 minutes by taxi (about 760Yen)

Transportation

The Shinkansen Hayabusa is the fastest bullet train in Japan (only reserved seats are available). A 3-hour and 20-minute journey would take you directly from Tokyo to Shin Aomori. (We wish you a pleasant journey)

IWSEC 2014 has secured special rates for workshop attendees at the following two hotels.

BEST WESTERN Hotel Newcity Hirosaki

The BEST WESTERN Hotel Newcity Hirosaki is equivalent to a 4-star hotel. It's adjacent to the JR Hirosaki Station and within a minute walk to the trains. The hotel is a perfect location for transportation, shopping and leisure activities. The bus that takes you to the workshop venue is just in front of the hotel. The hotel offers special discount rate for IWSEC2014 attendees, and a block of discounted rooms (30-single rooms and 20-twins rooms)has been set aside for the workshop's participants. The above rates are subject to government taxes currently assessed at 8%.

The PARK Hotel is a 15-minute walk to the workshop's venue and 5-minute by taxi.

Wireless access will be available throughout the workshop venue, and it's available in designated areas around the University's campus. SSID and password to access to the University's wireless system will also be provided for IWSEC2014 participants.

Hirosaki City provides free public Wi-Fi access in Hirosaki Park and the surrounding facilities in order to increase internet accessibility in central Hirosaki as well as make it easier for visitors to access to the internet. How to access!!!

Social Events

All workshop attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception held on August 27, 2014 at Hirosaki University's Restaurant.

The banquet will take place at the Best Western Hotel located one minute from JR Hirosaki Station on foot, 50 minutes from Aomori Airport by bus, 15 minutes from Tohoku Expressway.
