Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: July 24, 2019 (23:59 UTC) July 31, 2019 (23:59 UTC) [Extended]
  • Notification of Acceptance: 2 weeks from the each submission
  • Registration of the accepted poster presenter: August 14, 2019 (23:59 UTC)
  • Submission deadline of final poster for web publication (only for those who wish to upload the poster at the workshop webpage) : August 19, 2019 (23:59 UTC)

Overview

This year, the 14th International Workshop on Security (IWSEC 2019) calls for posters that focus on any relevant topic of the workshop. Posters should present on-going study, idea or project that is not mature yet, and interesting as work in progress. Student projects (Bachelor, Master or PhD) and related studies are also welcome. Posters will be presented as an interactive presentation style. Posters must fit within an A0 size space (118.9 cm (height) and 84.1 cm (width) / 46.8 in (height) and 33.1 in (width)) and may consist of a single printed sheet or separate sheets. Poster presenters MUST BRING their own posters to the workshop venue on the poster presentation date. IWSEC2019 WILL NOT provide any printing support. Poster boards and pushpins will be provided.

Publication Policy for Posters

Posters will be formally included in the program of IWSEC 2019. The list of accepted posters will be available through the workshop web page. NO PAPER proceedings will be published regarding the posters. Instead, IWSEC 2019 will provide 1MB size space for each poster at IWSEC2019 web page. Poster presenters can publish their posters at the workshop web page. In addition, 2-page abstract of the poster can be published if it is desired by the author. This data must be in PDF-format. The documents will be available at IWSEC 2019 web page one week before and after IWSEC 2019.

Basically, copyrights of any content for the poster presentations are retained by the authors; we WILL NOT impose any restrictions on the poster authors to submit the contents to other journals/conferences in the future.

However, the authors must take considerable care in publishing the documents at the workshop web page. Every published document is on POSTER AUTHORS’ RESPONSIBILITY. IWSEC 2019 accepts no responsibility and no liability for any loss resulting from the published documents. IWSEC 2019 does not endorse documents that violate any law or infringe the rights of any third party.

Instructions for Authors

To present a poster, authors MUST email the following information to measure to SPAM by July 31, 2019, 23:59 (UTC):

  • Title
  • Author(s)
  • Abstract in one or two paragraphs
  • Name of presenter
  • Request to publish the poster at the IWSEC 2019 poster page (please indicate by yes/no)
  • Request to publish the abstract of the poster (2-pages at most) at the IWSEC 2019 poster page (please indicate by yes/no)

After receiving an acceptance email notification, at least one author must register for the workshop by August 20th and present the poster.

Any student who will present a poster is classified as a "Presenting Student" while any regular participant who will present a poster is classified as a “Presenting Poster Regular" for the registration fee.

After making a registration, the poster author who wishes to upload the poster at the workshop web page must send the final poster in pdf-format to measure to SPAM by August 19th, 23:59 UTC. If the poster author also wishes to publish a 2-page abstract of the poster, email it in pdf-format with the poster.

Presentation

Poster session will be held on the same floor as the workshop. Submission and presentation must be in English.

Best Poster Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the authors of the best poster presentation(s). Poster awards ceremony will be held at the banquet venue.

Visa

No visa support will be provided for poster presenters.
