As described in the top page of IWSEC 2020, the conference will
totally be held online. At lease one of the authors are expected to
present your results as usual offline conference using online
conference system.
Instructions for IWSEC 2020 Participation
We plan to use WebEX online conference system.
Detailed instruction will be provided in this web page.
Your allocated time is just 25 minutes including
questions-and-answer time. You are expected to present your results
using the online conference system in real time. Your gesture and/or
slides can be shared among the attendees.
Check your presentation time. The time difference should be
considered for your presentation time. If you feel that it is
difficult to provide your presentation online the scheduled time,
please send your video. The video will be streamed when you are not
at the online conference system.
How to use WebEX for IWSEC 2020 presentation
Identification of the presenter
The Webex link will be sent to participants by email. When you enter your displayname when you join, please make sure you add the prefix "[p]" to the display name. This will help the organizer to recognize you as a presenter.
Role of "Presenter"
The presenter will be given the role of "Presenter" by the host. If you are in the role
of "Presenter", you will be able to share your screen or slides.
Sharing your slides on Webex
There is a share button. When you press it, a dialog will open, allowing you to choose whether you want to share the screen or the application window. In the application window, select a slide (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint). The sharing will begin.
Pre-confirmation of slide sharing
Basically, Webex is available 30 minutes before the start of each session. If you are a presenter, please join Webex in the time before the session you are presenting and speak to the organizer. The organizer will give you a presenter's role, and you should test it to see if you can share it and if the audio is heard properly. Please be sure to test it.
Question and answer session with audience
Questions from the audience will be posted on the Webex chat screen. The session chair will choose some of the questions from the chat and ask the presenter question(s) and the presenter will have to answer it.
