Travel Information
The following figure may be helpful for your travel to the venue:
From some airports:
From Narita (NR) or
Haneda (HND),
it is convenient to take a flight to
Komatsu (KMQ).
From NRT to KMQ, there is only an evening flight every day, and
it is common to go to HND by limousine bus and take a flight to KMQ.
From HND to KMQ, there are 10 flights every day.
If you prefer traveling by rail, then you may first go from NRT or HND
to one of the following stations of JR (Japan Railway): Tokyo; Ueno;
Shinagawa.
From Kansai (KIX),
Limited Express 'Haruka' will get you to Shin-Osaka and
Limited Express 'Thunderbird' from Shin-Osaka to Fukui.
Both are operated by JR.
From Centrair (NGO),
Airport Express 'μ-Sky'
by Meitetsu will get you
to Meitetsu-Nagoya and
Limited Express 'Shirasagi' by JR from Nagoya to Fukui.
It will take about 5 minutes on foot from Meitetsu-Nagoya Station to
Nagoya Station.
By rail from Tokyo, Ueno and Shinagawa Stations:
From Tokyo Station,
there are two ways by JR (Japan
Railway). One is via Kanazawa: Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to
Kanazawa and Limited Express 'Thunderbird' or 'Shirasagi' from
Kanazawa to Fukui. The other is via Maibara: Tokaido Shinkansen from
Tokyo to Maibara and Limited Express 'Shirasagi' from Maibara to
Fukui.
From Ueno Station, you can take Hokuriku Shinkansen to Kanazawa.
From Shinagawa Station, you can take Tokaido Shinkansen to Maibara.
JAPAN RAIL PASS
is the most economical way to travel throughout Japan by JR.
