Kinkaku-ji

Nijo Castle

This excursion will take you inside the Ninomaru Palace, where you'll be immersed in the essence of the Edo period, with each room showing the evolution of Japanese art and culture.

The IWSEC 2024 excursion will take place on 18 September 2024, 13:00–18:00 (JST). The excursion includes visiting two of the three World Heritage Sites, Kinkaku-ji, Nijo Castle, and Byodoin Temple.
Please note that the excursion is divided into two courses. The course A will visit Kinkaku-ji and then Byodoin Temple, and the course B will visit Nijo Castle and then Byodoin Temple. A bus will take us from the conference venue (i.e., ICC Kyoto) to the sites, and a return bus will take us to the banquet venue (i.e., Hotel Granvia Kyoto).
