Excursion

Overview

The IWSEC 2025 excursion will take place on November 26th, 2025, 12:00–18:00 (JST). The excursion includes visiting three sites: Dazaifu-Tenmangu, Kyushu National Museum, and Kamado Shrine.

A bus will take us from the conference venue (ACROS Fukuoka) to the sites, and a return bus will take us to the banquet venue (Hotel NIKKO Fukuoka).

Visiting Sites

Dazaifu-Tenmangu

Dazaifu-Tenmangu is one of Japan's most important Shinto shrines, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning and scholarship. This beautiful shrine is surrounded by over 6,000 plum trees and features stunning traditional architecture. It's a perfect place to experience Japanese spirituality and culture.

Kyushu National Museum

The Kyushu National Museum is Japan's fourth national museum, showcasing the cultural exchange between Japan and other Asian countries throughout history. Kamado Shrine

Kamado Shrine is located on Mount Homan, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Fukuoka city. The shrine provides a peaceful retreat and stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.
