Nishijin Plaza was established in October 2001 as part of the
memorial events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the foundation
of Kyushu University. This plaza promotes the international
scientific research and community cooperation as well as providing
information for the research activities, which leads to enhancement
of educational studies at the university. The facility
consists of three floors. The first floor is used for
information sharing, conference rooms and educational training rooms
are on the second and third floor respectively.
From Airport
Fukuoka
International Airport (FUK,

is the airport in Fukuoka, Japan. It has directly connected
to many cities in Japan and to major cities in Asia, Seoul,
Hong-Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Bangkok, etc.. It is
connected directly to downtown by Fukuoka City Subway and a
road. If a passenger arrives at Domestic Terminals, it takes
less than 5 minutes walk for the subway station. If a passenger
arrives at International Terminal, it takes 10 minutes free
shuttle bus (every 15 minutes departs) for the subway
station. From the subway station [K13] at the airport, it
takes 5 minutes for Hakata [K11], the main railway station, JR
Hakata Station, of Fukuoka city; it takes 11 minutes for Tenjin
[K08], the center of downtown Fukuoka; and it takes 19 minutes for
Nishijin [K04], nearby the venue.
How to get to the Venue
Note that the workshop hall in Nishijin Plaza, Kyushu
University. The location is around 10 minutes walk from Fukuoka
City Subway Station Called Nishijin (K04)
on Kuko Line (Airport Line).
At Nishijin subway station (K04), use Exit 7 to get on the
ground. Then you will face a main street over the subway line.
From there along the same direction as you walk underground (i.e.,
to the northeast), it will take you about 5 minutes or so before
you see a river. From there turn on the left along the river bank.
A few minutes more walk will bring you to the Nishijin plaza. See
