Excursion: Shiogama-Matsushima Route September 4th, 2018.
Banquet at Hotel Monterey Sendai
A banquet will be held September 4, 2018, from 19:00 after the excursion, at Hotel Monterey Sendai. It will take about 5 minutes by walk from the west gate of JR Sendai Station to Hotel Monterey, and about 15 minutes by walk from Sakura Hall.

We plan to arrange an excursion from Sendai to Shiogama and Matsushima, on September 4th, 2018. Matsushima is one of the most senic and beautiful places in Japan, known as the "Three Views of Japan (Nihon-Sankei)." Weather permitting, you can enjoy a fascinating scenery of a rias (saw-shaped) coastline including about 260 islands covered with green pine trees, and walking through Japanese shrine Zuiganji, one of the National Treasures in Japan.
On the excursion, we will head for Shiogama port by bus and make a boat tour to Matsushima-Kaigan. Here is a brief timetable:
Please make sure that returning to Sendai from Matsushima is on your own. If you plan to return to Sendai Station by 18:30 (to attend the banquet), the final departure from Matsushima-Kaigan Station is 17:44. More detailed information will be announced later. Please join us and enjoy the excursion!
